This wine originates in the township of Volnay just south of Beaune in the heart of Burgundy. The soils are mainly composed of clayish-limestone. Ruby in colour this fine wine has a delicate nose with fruit and vegetal notes. It has soft tannins and thick structure supported by plump spicy woody flavours.

Traditional with 10 to 12 months in oak barrels (30% new oak)
Dark and brooding in color, Volnay 1er cru « En Chevret » unveils a nose characterized by ripe Morello cherries. On the tongue, this wine reveals its complexity, leading to firm tannins on the finish.
