The Grand Cru vineyard of Les Preuses sits at the very top of the hillside. This famous 29-acre vineyard has arguably the best exposition of any of the Grands Crus on the côte, being higher up on the hillside with even better drainage than its neighbors. It also receives more hours of sunshine than any other Grand Cru. Les Preuses is known for offering wines that are easy to drink. It gives the impression of more roundness, lushness and fat on the palate.
This 2006 'Les Preuses' is a must-have cellar item for all Chablis lovers. The balance between fruit, acidity and power is simply remarkable; needless to say though the ripeness allows for enjoyable drinking in its youth, this wine merits some cellaring. Snatch this bottle up as it is available in limited quantities.
