Moulin-à-Vent Domaine de la Pierre 2014 Image

Moulin-à-Vent Domaine de la Pierre 2014

The Domaine de la Pierre has 10 hectares on the appellation Moulin-à-Vent. These plots are mainly located on the "granite vein" of Romanèche-Thorins. Our climats are "La Teppe", "Les Métérées", "La Bruyère", "En Brennacy" and "Petit Brennay". Those vineyards have sandy clay soils oriented East and Southeast. Two of the plots are located on the climat "En Morier" facing South and near "Grimarets", exposed slightly Southeast. Both are characterized by heavier clay soils, located on ancient foothills with alluvial deposits.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Moulin-à-Vent Domaine de la Pierre shows a nice and deep red color with brown lights. On the nose, you find strawberry, raspberry and blackberry notes with leather and coffee flavours on the finish. On the palate, it is well-balanced and it offers pleasant tannins. The matter is present but without any astringency. The red berries and the black cherry dominate. Very nice persistence.
Food Pairing Notes
Roasted veal, fillet of beef, truffles, girolle mushroom, game, cheese.
