De Venoge Blanc de Blancs 2000 is composed of 100% Chardonnay. It is aged on its yeast for 4 to 5 years before disgorgement and dosage. The extended exposure to yeast and careful aging allow this wine to slowly mature into a classic Chardonnay champagne that is redolent with flavors of ripe apple, toast and cream. The House of de Venoge, located in Epernay, has been hand crafting small lots of fine champagne since 1837. A blue ribbon, or Cordon Bleu in French, has been the symbol of nobility since the 16th century. In 1864, de Venoge launched its Cordon Bleu line of champagne that was quickly recognized as a mark of distinction and refinement. In France, de Venoge is synonymous with outstanding champagne.
