Named for the historical windmill in the region, this cru is the mascot of viticultural Beaujolais. Of breed and renown, this cru’s wines can age in the style of some of Burgundy’s greatest Pinot Noirs.
Tasting Notes
An abundance of strawberries coupled with zingy acidity and backed by firm structure make this wine pleasant in its youth and yet ageworthy.
Food Pairing Notes
Serve this red with veal roasts, filet de boeuf en croute, dishes with truffle sauce and wild game.
