At the heart of a constellation of Grand Crus is found Le Chambertin, a small parcel which has belonged to the Latour family since the end of the last century.

Chablis is the biggest appellation spread of 19 communes around the village of Chablis.

The Latour family has owned a portion of Romanée-Saint-Vivant since 1898.

Classified as Grand Cru since 1937, the appellation of Corton 'Clos du Roi' has existed since the 15th century, when the King of France would stock his personal cellar with these fine wines from Corton.

The wines of Chassagne-Montrachet offer great value due to their relatively unfashionable image when compared with their direct neighbours at Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet.

Situated just south of Volnay and Pommard in the Côte de Beaune, Meursault is the most extensive northerly white wine commune of the Côte-d’Or.

The vineyard of Sous le Puits is in the heart of a cluster of the finest Premiers Crus from Puligny-Montrachet, amongst wines such as Les Truffières, Les Chalumeaux and Les Perrières.

The Grand Cru vineyard Blanchots is to be found just to the southeast of the other Grand Crus.

In 1840, Jean Febvre, a barrel cooper from Montbard, founded the Winery that is now Maison Simonnet-Febvre.
 

After the ravages of the phylloxera epidemic at the end of the 19th century the Latour family took the decision to tear up the dead Aligoté and Pinot Noir vines and to replace them with Chardonnay.
